- Post consumer plastic is collected for recycling.
- Plastic is then organised into colours.
- Everything is cleaned and sterilised.
- Then the plastic is dried and shredded into tiny flakes.
- Flakes are melted and squeezed into yarn.
- The yarns are then spun into thread.
- Thread is then woven into rolls of fabric.
- The fabric is then made into our lovely travel towels.

Our policy lasts 14 days. If 14 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
GOODS HAVE TO ARRIVE WITH US WITHIN THE 14 DAY WINDOW. ONLY REQUESTING YOUR RETURN WITHIN THE 14 DAYS DOES NOT COUNT.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
About us:
We are two cousins who have been lucky enough to travel together around the world. Whilst travelling and living in Asia, we became increasingly concerned about the growing levels of plastic waste washing ashore on the beaches we explored.
As keen travellers, another issue we faced was the lack of quality travel towels available that could withstand the daily strains of travelling. As active people, we found that after a few days of camping, diving and beach use, the towels would either start to disintegrate or give off such a bad smell they were unusable. Our mission was simple, could we create a high-quality travel towel that suited our needs, whilst simultaneously having a positive impact on the earth by reducing some of the needless plastic waste that floods our oceans. This was how the Horizon fully recycled travel towel was born.
Sustainability is at the heart of what we do.
Horizon was born through the love of travel and adventure. As two cousins travelling around world, we were lucky enough to see some incredible things. We are aware, however, of the impact that we as people are having on this beautiful planet. We knew that we wanted to make products that encouraged a sense of adventure, whilst using responsible materials and processes. We understand that no-one is perfect, but if we can all start making more responsible consumer decisions, then we can start to reverse the damage that has already been done.
Responsible Materials.
We pledge to only ever use eco-friendly or responsible materials in our products wherever possible. Horizon is built on a pillar of sustainability, and we want to provide practical and sustainable products that we are proud of. Our manufacturer has been inspected and assessed according to the Global Recycling Standard, and is certificated to this standard. We are confident that as a new business we are taking a positive approach to our production, although we know improvements can always be made.
Our towels are made from 100% recycled polyester, which is primarily comprised of single use post-consumer plastic otherwise destined for landfill.
People.
A top priority of ours is to ensure that everyone involved with Horizon is treated fairly and with respect. This includes both those we work with in the UK, as well as our manufacturers abroad. We are a living wage employer and will always be, and we realise the importance of a good standard of living and value our staff as they are what makes our business great. We were incredibly stringent in our search for manufacturers. Our suppliers adhere to a strict code of conduct, and we will be doing regular audits to ensure that their processes are being followed in line with our expectations.

2023 - By the end of 2023 we hope we are in a position to donate 5% of our profits to charitable causes. Carbon Neutral Freight.
2024 - B-Corp Registered.
2026 - Completely Carbon Neutral.
