Climate in Mozambique
The climate in Mozambique is tropical so it has distinct wet and dry seasons.
During the wet season there is a lot of rain and around the coastal areas and downpours are heavy with amounts ranging from 500 to 1,500 mm. Areas inland generally get slightly less rain.
Mozambique is warm all year round and around the coast temperatures usually range from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius (77 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit). If you head inland then the temperatures get higher, up to 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) during the hottest months.
Be aware that though the landscapes are green and lovely during the wet season there is also flooding in some areas.

Low season in Mozambique – November to April
The low season in Mozambique is typically from November to April which is in its rainy season, there is a much greater chance of rainfall and high levels of humidity. So while this means landscapes look amazing with beautiful greenery and lots of flowers be aware that there is a high chance of tropical storms and very heavy downpours before you consider booking your trip during these months.
On the positive side however, if you don't mind a bit of rain, the low season will be a lot cheaper and quieter, just make sure to come prepared with an umbrella and waterproof gear.

- Explore Maputo, the capital city. The shoulder season has a comfortable climate to go walking on tours and excursions.
